A Story about Television

Television is the most popular part of the mass media.Despite
increasing influences of the Internet and video films it plays a big role
in every civilized society.Hardly can we imagine our life without television.
The name “Television comes from Greek word meaning far and a Latin word meaning to see. So the word television means to see far. Isn t it interesting ?
Television attracts viewers of all ages.
Majority of old people like to watch news. They listen to announcers very attentively trying to remember all the broadcasted news. They prefer watching the regional channel survey.
I prefer watching youth programmes. I like to see interesting films. They might be feature,adventure,scientific,horror,cartoon and other films.I enjoy seeing Walt Disney cartoons
and quiz programme. I wish I could watch TV the whole day!With the help of TV it is possible to learn foreign languages,to know a lot of interesting things about the world fauna and flora.
At the same time there are a lot of arguments against television.It must be taken into account that among the biggest TV-viewers are not only adults but children as well. It is damaging for their health and abilities. People become lazy: instead of doing sport or reading books they watch TV.
So it is your choice: to watch or not to watch TV.

It was December. The weather was very cold. It was snowing all day. The lakes and rivers are not frozen. In Estonia such weather as sleets- it is normal.Many of children loved winter ,because they can play a snowballs and making some of snowmans.The sky was overcast with clouds. In the street there was a strong blizzard. Through a pair of clocks in streets there were huge snowdrifts.The snow was falling for all days.
But nevertheless winter it is fine for everything
